Undernourishment
The share of people whose food does not give them the minimum energy they need.
This is the share of people whose usual diet does not give them enough calories to meet their minimum energy needs. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) estimates it for each country from national food supply, food consumption surveys and population data, as an average over three years, and the World Bank republishes it. The FAO publishes no share below 2.5%: those years show as 2.5%, which means 2.5% or less. Its current estimates start in 2001.
