Executive corruption index (V-Dem)
How far heads of government and ministers take bribes or steal public money, from 0 (least corrupt) to 1 (most corrupt).
The V-Dem executive corruption index measures how far high-ranking members of the executive, such as the head of government and cabinet ministers, take bribes or steal public money. It runs from 0 (least corrupt) to 1 (most corrupt) and is one of the four parts of the political corruption index. Like the other V-Dem indices, it combines the ratings of thousands of country experts through a statistical model. Our World in Data republishes the central estimates.
